FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
May 04, 2011 – Lihue, HI – After offering a successful social media course in Princeville last month, The Office of Continuing Education and Training (OCET) at Kauai Community College has decided to bring the course to the Lihue campus in May.
”KCC understands that social media has become a marketing tool businesses should be aware of,” said Dr. Bruce Getzan, Director of OCET. “With this in mind, we thought it vital to offer our audience a course that would help them grasp the basics and get them started.”

• Creating a Twitter account and deciding what to “Tweet.”
• 6 tips for maximizing the power of your LinkedIn profile.
• 5 benefits of blogging and 8 ideas to get your creative juices flowing.
Prerequisite: Students should have computer experience and are encouraged to bring their laptops with them.
“Debra was very knowledgeable about social media and easily answered any questions,” said Corinne Travillion, Marketing Manager for Princeville Ranch Adventures. “Her presentation was well organized, concise and enthusiastic; her material helped me to make several important decisions.”
To take full advantage of all the great information to be shared, attendance is required at both sessions. The cost is $80/person. To register, contact OCET at (808) 245-8318.
